Gr8 Hotel Maastricht

I stayed here with my friend as she had an early morning flight out of MST, and we didn't want to fuss over a taxi ride. The <1min walk to the airport after our continental breakfast certainly beat trying to find a taxi at 05:00 and pay for the expensive fare. The check-in process was quick and easy. We arrived to a newly built room featuring a comfy bed, good pillows, a nice bathroom, a large TV, and multi-coloured LED light strips installed in a groove in the ceiling that could be controlled using a remote fixed to the wall. The room was spotless. After we settled in, we returned to the front desk to purchase a bottle of wine. The wine was chilled, and the receptionist gave us wine glasses which was a nice touch. The breakfast in the morning was tasty, featuring a good variety of pre-packaged foods. My only complaint was having to ask the reception for a hairdryer, walk it up to my room, have my shower, and then walk it back down to the front desk. It would have been appreciated if the hair dryer had just been in the room in the first place. I recommend staying at this hotel if you will be travelling in/out of MST on a late/early flight. However, if you are actually looking to stay in the city of Maastricht, this hotel is a little far away, so you would be better to stay somewhere else.

The hotel is new,clean,modern.The hallways are very stylish.The room was also stylish.Big smart TV with YouTube on it.You can change the light colours in the room.Nice thick carpet matching the room colours.Very quiet,good isolated.The reception guy was kind and willing to help in any ways he could.The breakfast was nice,with fresh orange juice,eggs,bacon,coffee, fresh croissants and so on.The bed was good as well.With some small adjustments,this hotel would easily get at least 4 stars.Located 50 meters from the airport,so very convenient! HOWEVER..... 1.the restaurant closed at 15:00.I don't want to know the reason,but it's really crazy,i couldn't have a dinner with my son and we had to drive to a snack bar in Beek,both of us hungry and tired. 2.the room doesn't have a phone.If somehow you encounter a problem,there you go! You cannot reach to the reception.If you are feeling sick,or if you are on the toilet and you run out of toilet paper,you have to go downstairs to fix it. 3.no hair dryer in the room.I didn't need it,im shaved bold but what if someone needs it? Dry it by towel? :) 4.please fix the barrier button.It happened both in the evening and in the morning,i had to drive back to the reception because the button didn't work. 5.perhaps a vending machine would be good. The small details are making the difference.Great hotel overalls.Thanks!

It’s about the details. I arrived after a flight from Alicante at 22.00. Booked one night at this hotel, but they don’t sell at this hour whiskey and they don’t have a bar to lounge. A bit strange for the price you pay €75,-. So yeah that’s a bummer. So instead I ordered a beer and took it to my room. But I missed my whiskey .... point of improvement ! As I turned on the tv it had no signal, YouTube yes was working, but to watch “regular” tv wasn’t possible. I went downstairs and mentioned it at the reception and the guy said he made some calls and that they were working on it. But they didn’t offer me a solution.... Also there were no coffee cups in my room to make my tea and coffee in the morning (probably forgotten but still....). Poured it in the plastic water cup but unfortunately that melted.
